TheFriends actor claimed that he and an elementary school friend beat up Trudeau in the fifth grade. The fight occurred when both notables were students in Canada. Perry describes himself as half-Canadian and when he beat up Trudeau, his father, Pierre Trudeau, was the Prime Minister of the country.
"My friend ... who was also in the fifth grade in Canada, reminded me that we actually beat up Justin Trudeau," claimed Perry during a taping ofJimmy Kimmel Livethat aired last month. "We both beat him up. I think he was excelling in a sport that we weren't, so it was pure jealousy. I think he was the only kid in school that we could beat up. You know, I'm not bragging about this. This is terrible. I was a stupid kid, I didn't want to beat him up."
Two weeks after the Perry revelation, Trudeau responded with hostility. His response did come on April Fools' Day, which led many to believe that he was only joking.
