In an excerpt procured by US Weekly, the 32-year-old revealed she came down with the tick-borne ailment in a reindeer sanctuary in her family's England home in 2004.
Osbourne said that after misdiagnosis lead her to feel 'like a vegetable' due to many pills, she spent two weeks at alternative medicine practitioner Philip Battiade's German clinic for $40 000.
She had first met Philip when he treated her brother for MS.
"I was relieved to find out what was going on finally, but I was also scared shitless... I started stem cell therapy..." the presenter said, adding that rather than trying to kill the disease with antibiotics, the treatment worked to boost her immune system.
The therapy enabled her body to fight off and get rid of the disease on its own, which is a more complete and lasting cure.
Osbourne went on to say that she has kept quiet about the disease, not only because of pharmaceutical companies coming after her because of the treatment that was made available to her in Germany but also because Lyme disease seems the trendy ailment to have nowadays.
The Project Runway junior judge said she was tired of seeing 'sad celebrities play the victims on the cover of weekly mags.'
She added she does not understand how anyone could think that living with Lyme disease is glamorous.
Osbourne who has been sober for eight years also discussed her four rehab stints for addiction to prescription drugs, which started when she was 19.
"I was an anxious kid, so doctors were always writing me prescriptions," she explained, adding that the doctors were handing out the pills like candy.
Osbourne also revealed that she tried meth once because someone told her it was coke, but it was the most sickening feeling she's ever experienced.
