Billy Joel and his wife, Alexis Joel, welcomed their second child together Sunday night. The newborn is a girl, and they have named her Remy Anne Joel.

"Sunday night, Billy and Alexis Joel welcomed Remy Anne into their family," Billy Joel's rep told PEOPLE. "Alexis and Remy are doing well, and everyone is thrilled." The rep added that the birth took place 7:50 p.m. at New York University Hospital in New York under the care of physician Ashley Roman, and that Remy Anne weighed in at 7 lbs. and 3 ounces.

The couple only broke the news that they were expecting less than a week ago, when the singer and his wife told the Belfast Telegraph that Alexis Joel was pregnant.

"She [Della Rose] is pretty good," he told the Irish newspaper, referring to Della Rose, his and Alexis Joel's first child. "She sleeps through the night. I hope the next one will."

Della Rose Joel was born in August 2015, also in New York. Billy Joel arrived for her birth in a helicopter just several hours prior.

Alexis and Billy Joel had been dating for since 2009. The couple wedded one month later at Billy Joel's estate in Long Island, New York.

Billy Joel previously had a daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, with his then-wife Christie Brinkley. Alexa Ray Joel, now age 31, was in the delivery room with Joel and Alexis Joel when Remy Anne was born. Alexa Ray Joel is a singer and songwriter in her own right and has released an EP and several singles.
