Chelsea Clinton took to social media to defend Barron Trump.

Former First Daughter, Chelsea Clinton, defended current First Son, Barron Trump, on Facebook. She also seemingly used Barron as a political prop to take a shot at the policies of U.S. President Donald Trump. Chelsea spent eight of her teen and young adult years as the focus of millions of Americans, especially when her father, Bill Clinton, was embroiled in a sexual scandal as U.S. President. She spoke out about not being afforded a normal childhood. She asked, for at least the next four years, that people allow Barron a chance to be the 10 year old boy that he now is.

The comments from Chelsea were in response to widespread criticism of Barron for his behavior at the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday

"Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does-to be a kid," posted Chelsea Clinton to Facebook on Sunday.

Chelsea, who is a great friend of Ivanka Trump, a current First Daughter, also garnered criticism for turning her message political.

"Standing up for every kid also means opposing POTUS policies that hurt kids," posted Clinton.

Some users of social media called Chelsea Clinton a hypocrite for her message.

"I haven't seen any policies that hurt kids yet," wrote one user. "So, why is that in this discussion? If you know something I don't, please inform me. And yes, kids and family are off limits. None of our business."
