Scaramucci gives profanity-laced interview, vows to oust Priebus

Anthony Scaramucci, President Trump's new communications director, took his rivalry with Chief of Staff Reince Priebus public Thursday in a series of tweets and a profanity-laced interview with The New Yorker's Ryan Lizza. He accused Priebus of being a leaker, called him a "paranoid schizophrenic," and said Priebus would be asked to resign soon.

On Wednesday night, Scaramucci called Lizza to say he believed Priebus was leaking potentially damaging information about him and pressured the journalist to tell him who leaked the fact that he was having dinner with the president, Sean Hannity of Fox News, and Bill Shine. a former Fox executive.

"Is it an assistant to the President?" Scaramucci asked Lizza. "O.K., I'm going to fire every one of them, and then you haven't protected anybody, so the entire place will be fired over the next two weeks."

Scaramucci referred to Trump's chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, in particularly vulgar terms. Like Priebus and the now-departed Sean Spicer, Bannon opposed hiring Scaramucci as communications director.

"I'm not Steve Bannon. I'm not trying to such my own cock," Scaramucci said. "I'm not trying to build my own brand off the fucking strength of the president."

Scaramucci also insisted the "leaking" of his financial disclosure form to Politico was "a felony" even though the document is publicly available.

"What I want to do is I want to fucking kill all the leakers and I want to get the President's agenda on track so we can succeed for the American people," he said.
